Clinics - Day Three

Wow ~ what a Day!!!!!

We started our day with the sweetest devotional from Tricia Cooper then left for our clinic in downtown Leon.  Marty Carnes joined our team today & worked hard all day with each of the different teams.  We saw over 300 people today and had over 40 professions of Faith.  We returned to El Ayudante and were treated to a great Nicaraguan meal.  THEN we had a special surprise - Rick Orso had conspired with various players to renew his vows to Shonda Orso - who was shocked and delighted! Marty Carnes performed the ceremony. Jeff Willis sang, the happy couple danced & everyone celebrated!!!!

Second Day of Clinics

Heath Richter started our day off with a beautiful devotional about God's plan for our lives.  We then departed for the area around the garbage dump.  We saw 400 people and had 44 professions of Faith. The people of Nicaragua are very warm and loving! We ended the day with a delicious meal prepared by the wonderful staff at El Ayudante and then had an hour of sharing from the new members in the group.  AMAZING stories......

First Day of Clinics

We started off this day with William Clark doing the devotional and he challenged us to be obedient and to serve otheres - which was perfect for the day ahead; eating a wonderful breakfast (beans & rice, eggs, watermelon, pineapple) and then packing up and heading out to start our first clinic.  We ended up serving 448 people & 26 professions of Faith.  It was a great day and the team worked hard.  Tomorrow we will do our second clinic at a local garbage dump where many homeless children live.  Good Night!

We arrived safely in Nicaragua!!!!

Orlando - eve of flight

We were able to leave Thomasville on time and traveled w/o a hitch to Orlando (making a quick stop for dinner along the way) and are now checked into our rooms and going to try to get some sleep.  We leave at 6:30 am for the airport.  Fly from Orlando to Miami at 9:10 am and Miami to Nicaragua at 11:10.  Good Night!

Welcome to our 2010 Nicaragua Evangelical/Medical/Humanitarian mission trip blog! The dates of our trip are August 20-27, 2010. We will be serving in Leon, Nicaragua through the El Ayudante.
